1、Believeitornot!信不信由你!

belive/think后可接that引導的賓語從句,當主語為第一人稱,后接否定意義的賓語從句時,需要否定前移。eg.我認為他不會通過考試。

正:Idon’tthink/believethathecanpasstheexam.

誤:Ithink/believethathecan’tpasstheexam.

2、Wecansendsomebookstothem.我們可以給他們送些書。(過去式sent)

send用作及物動詞,意為“寄(信等);發(fā)(電報);(派人)送”。

sendsb.sth.=sendsth.tosb.(give/show/lend/pass傳遞)

borrowsth.fromsb.buysbsth.=buysth.forsb.

拓展:①sendup發(fā)射②sendfor(派人去)請來

3、Somechildrenarenotevenabletopayforschool.一些孩子甚至不能付上學的錢。

able形容詞,意為“有能力的;能干的”。如:Yourfatherisanableman.

beableto能;會。相當于can/could,但beableto有一般將來是。

sb.spend+時間/金錢(in)doingsth.某人花費時間、金錢做某事。

save動詞,意為“救;求助”,save...from意為“從……中救出……”。

save還有“節(jié)省,節(jié)約;儲蓄,保存”的意思。

inhospital意思是“生病住院”,而inthehospital意思為“在醫(yī)院里”。

6、Keepyourhairawayfromfire.讓頭發(fā)要遠離火。

詞組:keep...awayfromsth表示“(使)不靠近或遠離……”的意思。如:

Keepthechildrenawayfromthewater.It’sdangerous.不要讓兒童靠近水。危險!

when/while引導時間狀語從句,如果主句是一般將來時,when引導的句子用一般現(xiàn)在時表示一般將來時,if引導的條件狀語從句,主句用一般將來時,從句用一般現(xiàn)在時。
