端午節(jié)

Inthe5thdayofthefifthmonthoftheChineselunarcalendar,itisthetraditionalDragonBoatFestivalinChina,alsoknownasduyang,fiveandfive.AsearlyastheZhouDynasty,therewasacustomofstoringlanesandbathinginMay5th.Buttoday,manyactivitiesofDragonBoatFestivalarerelatedtomemoratingQuYuan,agreatChinesewriter.

IntheWarringStatesperiod,ChuandQinscrambleforhegemony,andthepoetQuYuanwashighlyvaluedbythekingofChu.However,QuYuansclaimwasopposedbytheoldofficialofShangguandoctorJinShang.HecontinuedtoslanderQuYuaninfrontofthekingofChuHuai,andthekingofChuHuaigraduallyalienatedQuYuan,andtheambitiousQuYuanfeltmuchpain,andhewaswithamelancholyandindignationthatwasdifficulttosuppress.HewrotetheimmortalpoemssuchasLiSaoandTianXiang.In229BC,QinconqueredeightcitiesinChustate,andthensentenvoystoKingChuHuaitogototheQinstate.QuYuansawthroughtheconspiracyofKingQinandriskeddeathintothepalacetostatehisinterests.Insteadoflistening,ChuHuaiWangdroveQuYuanoutofYingDu.WhenKingChuHuaiarrivedatthemeetingasscheduled,hewasimprisonedinQinstate.Hewasfilledwithregretanddepression.HediedinQinafterthreeyears.SoonafterthekingofChudefeatedtheking,hesenttroopstoattackthestateofChu.Onthewayofexile,QuYuanheardthedeathofKingHuaikingandthebadnewsofYingCitytobreakthrough.

ThefishermenontheriverandthepeopleontheshoreheardthatDr.QuYuanthrewhimselfintotheriverandcametotherivertosalvagethecorpseofQuYuan.(thecustomlaterevolvedintoadragonboatrace).Inaddition,theDragonpouredtherealgarwineintotheriversothattheanimalscouldnotbehurt.Afteralongtime,afaintdragonwasfloatingonthesurfaceofthewater,andthedragonwasstillcoveredwithapieceofdoctorsdress.Peoplepulledthedragonontheshore,pulledoutthetendons,thenwrappedthedragoninthehandsandneckofthechildren,thenusedtherealgarwine,andsomewerestillwritingaKingontheforeheadofthechildrentomakethepoison.Snakepestsdontdaretohurtthem.Fromthenon,atthebeginningofMayeveryyearintheearlyMay,thepeopleofthestateofChustatethedragonboatontheriver,throwthezongzianddrinkthemaleyellowricewinetomemoratethepoet,thecustomoftheDragonBoatFestivalhasbeenspreadlikethis.

農(nóng)歷五月初五,是我國(guó)傳統(tǒng)的端午節(jié),又稱(chēng)端陽(yáng)、重五、端五節(jié)。早在周朝,就有"五月五日,蓄蘭而沐'的習(xí)俗。但今日端午節(jié)的眾多活動(dòng)都與紀(jì)念我國(guó)宏大的文學(xué)家屈原有關(guān)。

戰(zhàn)國(guó)時(shí)代,楚秦爭(zhēng)奪霸權(quán),詩(shī)人屈原很受楚王器重,然而屈原的主見(jiàn)遭到上官大夫靳尚為首的守舊派的反對(duì),不斷在楚懷王的面前詆毀屈原,楚懷王慢慢疏遠(yuǎn)了屈原,有著遠(yuǎn)大理想的屈原倍感痛心,他懷著難以抑制的愁?lèi)灡瘧?,?xiě)出了《離騷》、《天向》等不朽詩(shī)篇。公元前229年,秦國(guó)攻占了楚國(guó)八座城池,接著又派使臣請(qǐng)楚懷王去秦國(guó)議和。屈原看破了秦王的陰謀,冒死進(jìn)宮陳述利害,楚懷王不但不聽(tīng),反而將屈原逐出郢都。楚懷王如期赴會(huì),一到秦國(guó)就被囚禁起來(lái),楚懷王懊悔交加,愁?lèi)灣杉?,三年后客死于秦?guó)。楚頃衰王即位不久,秦王又派兵攻打楚國(guó),頃衰王倉(cāng)惶撤離京城,秦兵攻占郢城。屈原在流放途中,接連聽(tīng)到楚懷王客死和郢城攻破的噩耗后,萬(wàn)念俱灰,仰天長(zhǎng)嘆一聲,投入了滾滾激流的汩羅江。

江上的漁夫和岸上的百姓,聽(tīng)說(shuō)屈原大夫投江自盡,都紛紛來(lái)到江上,奮力打撈屈原的尸體,(此風(fēng)俗日后演化成賽龍舟)人們紛紛拿出家中的粽子、雞蛋投入江中,讓魚(yú)吃了就不會(huì)去咬屈大夫尸身。還有郎中把雄黃酒倒入江中,以便藥昏蛟龍水獸,使屈原大夫尸體免遭損害。過(guò)不了多久,水面上浮起了一條昏暈的蛟龍,龍須上還沾著一片屈大夫的衣襟,人們就把這惡龍拉上岸,抽了筋,然後把龍筋纏在孩子們的手、脖子上,又用雄黃酒抹七竅,有的還在小孩子額頭上寫(xiě)上一個(gè)"王'字,使那些毒蛇害蟲(chóng)都不敢來(lái)?yè)p害他們。從今,每年五月初屈原投江殉難日,楚國(guó)人民都到江上劃龍舟,投粽子,喝雄黃酒,以此來(lái)紀(jì)念詩(shī)人,端午節(jié)的風(fēng)俗就這樣流傳下來(lái)。

七夕

傳奇每年農(nóng)歷7月7日的晚上,牛郎(牧牛人)和織女(編織女工)會(huì)在由喜鵲搭建在銀河之上的橋上重逢。假如那天下雨,中國(guó)的老人就會(huì)告知你,牛郎織女在銀河兩岸流淚。

YetintheeyesoftheJadeEmperor,theSupremeDeityinTaoism,marriagebetweenamortalandafairywasstrictlyforbidden.HesenthisempresstofetchZhinu.NiulanggrewdesperatewhenhediscoveredZhinuhadbeentakenbacktoheaven.DrivenbyNiulangsmisery,thecowtoldhimtoturnitshideintoapairofshoesafteritdied.

ThemagicshoeswhiskedoffNiulang,whocarriedhistwochildreninbasketsstrungfromashoulderpole,offonachaseaftertheempress.Thepursuitenragedtheempress,whotookherhairpinandslasheditacrossthesky,creatingtheMilkyWaywhichseparatedhusbandfromwife.Butallwasnotlost.Anarmyofmagpies,movedbytheirloveanddevotion,formedabridgeacrosstheMilkyWaytoreunitethefamily.EventheJadeEmperoorwastouchedandallowedNiulangandZhinutomeetonceayearontheseventhnightoftheseventhmonth.Itissaidthatatthatnight,childrencanheartheprivateconversationbetweentheWeavingMaidandtheCowherdunderthegrapetrellis.ThisishowQixicametobe.

Inactuality,thefestivalcanbetracedbacktotheHanDynasty(206BC-AD220).PeoplewouldtraditionallylookupattheskyandspotabrightstarintheconstellationAquila,aswellasthestarVega,identifiedasNiulangandZhinu.ThetwostarsshineonoppositesidesoftheMilkyWay.

QixiisalsoknownastheBeggingforSkillsFestivalorDaughtersFestival.Inthepast,girlswouldholdceremoniesonthedayandpraytoZhinuforwisdom,dexterityandasatisfyingmarriage.InsomepartsofShandongProvince,youngwomenwouldofferfruitandpastriestoherinreturnforablessingofintelligence.Ifspiderswereseentoweavewebsonsacrificialobjects,itwasbelievedthatZhinuwasofferingpositivefeedback.InotherpartsofChina,thecustomwasforsevenclosefriendstogathertomakedumplings.Theywouldputintothreeseparatedumplingsaneedle,acoppercoinandareddate,whichrepresentedperfectneedleworkskills,goodfortuneandanearlymarriagerespectively.

YoungwomeninsouthernChinawovesmallhandicraftswithcoloredpaper,grassandthread.Weavingandneedleworkpetitionswouldbeheldtoseewhohadthebesthandsandthebrightestmind,prerequisitesforbeingagoodwifeandmother.

However,theseancienttraditionsandcustomshavebeenslowlydyingout.FewerpeoplethanevergazeattheheavenonthatdaytopickoutthetwostarsshiningbrightoneithersideoftheMilkyWay--thatis,iftheyevenknowonwhichdayQixifalls.

七夕坐看牽牛織女星,是民間的習(xí)俗,相傳,在每年的這個(gè)夜晚,是天上織女與牛郎在鵲橋相見(jiàn)之時(shí)??椗且粋€(gè)漂亮聰慧、心靈手巧的仙女,凡間的婦女便在這一天晚上向她懇求才智和巧藝,也少不了向她求賜美滿姻緣,所以七月初七也被稱(chēng)為乞巧節(jié)。

人們傳奇在七夕的夜晚,抬頭可以看到牛郎織女的銀河相見(jiàn),或在瓜果架下可偷聽(tīng)到兩人在天上相見(jiàn)時(shí)的脈脈情話。

女孩們?cè)谶@個(gè)布滿浪漫氣息的晚上,對(duì)著天空的朗朗明月,擺上時(shí)令瓜果,朝天祭拜,懇求天上的女神能給予她們聰慧的心靈和靈活的雙手,讓自己的針織女紅技法嫻熟,更懇求愛(ài)情婚姻的姻緣巧配。過(guò)去婚姻對(duì)于女性來(lái)說(shuō)是打算一生幸福與否的終身大事,所以,世間很多的有情男女都會(huì)在這個(gè)晚上,夜靜人深時(shí)刻,對(duì)著星空祈禱自己的姻緣美滿。

春節(jié)

OnelegendgoesthatthebeastNianhadaverybigmouththatwouldswallowagreatmanypeoplewithonebite.Peoplewereveryscared.Oneday,anoldmancametotheirrescue,offeringtosubdueNian.ToNianhesaid,Ihearsaythatyouareverycapable,butcanyouswallowtheotherbeastsofpreyonearthinsteadofpeoplewhoarebynomeansofyourworthyopponents?So,itdidswallowmanyofthebeastsofpreyonearththatalsoharrassedpeopleandtheirdomesticanimalsfromtimetotime.

Afterthat,theoldmandisappearedridingthebeastNian.Heturnedouttobeanimmortalgod.NowthatNianisgoneandotherbeastsofpreyarealsoscaredintoforests,peoplebegintoenjoytheirpeacefullife.Beforetheoldmanleft,hehadtoldpeopletoputupredpaperdecorationsontheirwindowsanddoorsateachyearsendtoscareawayNianincaseitsneakedbackagain,becauseredisthecolorthebeastfearedthemost.
