Duringthelasttwodecades,thereareamountofresearchesonrelationshipbetweenurbanform

andtraveldemandaroundthedevelopedcountries.Manymethodsandmodelsinthisfieldhavebeen

developed,aswellaspoliciesapplication.Thereare,however,lessstudieswithrespectthathowthe

urbanformimpactthetraveldemandinthedevelopingcountries.Asoneoftheimportantpartofcity

system,cityspatialformhashugeeffectontravelbehaviorthathasbeenprovedinmanycities.Inor-

dertodeeplyunderstandthepotentialrulebetweenurbanformandtraveldemandinChina,fourin-

dexesareputforwordtoestimateitinthispaperbasedondescriptionofurbanform,namelyurban

spatialshape,landusemixentropy,populationdensityandaccessibility.SeveralcitiesofChinawith

differentterrainarechoseninthisstudyandspatialanalysismethodsofGISareused.Theimpactsof

theseindexesonthetripgenerationareanalyzedrespectively,someconclusionsabouttheinteraction

ofurbanspatialformandtraveldemandaredrawn.Infactitisveryhelpfulforurbanplanningand
