5、語解釋和記憶英語”。避免了將英語轉(zhuǎn)換為另一種語言漢語所帶來的不便和時(shí)間耗費(fèi)。不但提高了效率,而且久而久之,有可能在頭腦中建立起兩種思維系統(tǒng),即在在漢語思維之外,還可以逐步建立起獨(dú)立的英語思維系統(tǒng)。,用英語解釋和記憶英語,本身就是在學(xué)習(xí)和運(yùn)用英語,對提高英語語感和英語的閱讀理解能力和綜合運(yùn)用能力很有好處。是一舉多得的好方法。真正做到了用英語品味英語,越品越有味;用英語理解英語,理解更準(zhǔn)確。鑒于本環(huán)節(jié)初次嘗試此種設(shè)置,可能有些學(xué)生對英語解釋不能完全理解,為降低難度,英文解釋后面可進(jìn)一步演示中文解釋,學(xué)生可再通過中文解釋回顧早讀課中已預(yù)習(xí)過的單詞,進(jìn)一步加深記憶。,Read the explanat

10、he following words.,Listen and describe.,Tips for Reading Skills,在閱讀每個(gè)段落時(shí),要注意綜合運(yùn)用略讀與掃讀這兩種方法。,略讀(skimming)只看文章標(biāo)題和下標(biāo)題,以及每個(gè)部分或者段落第一行。關(guān)注文章中反復(fù)出現(xiàn)的關(guān)鍵詞。 略讀時(shí),要花足夠的時(shí)間去讀段落的第一句和第二句,直到完全理解其義,因?yàn)榈谝痪渫窃摱蔚闹黝}句(topic sentence),而第二句往往是對前句的延伸(extension)或進(jìn)一步的解釋(explanation)。,通過略讀把握文章大意,運(yùn)用掃讀(scanning), 迅速瀏覽從第三句開始的后面部分,搜尋
11、作者對開頭兩句的支持句(supporting sentences),并同時(shí)注意文章中間是否有轉(zhuǎn)折詞(transition),因?yàn)檫@些詞常常會把文章的思路逆轉(zhuǎn)或加入其它重要的信息。當(dāng)讀到段落的最后一句時(shí),我們又要使用略讀, 這時(shí)必須再次放慢速度(slow down your pace)直到完全消化作者對段落的小結(jié)(conclusion),因?yàn)樵撔〗Y(jié)有可能與主題句截然相反或引導(dǎo)讀者進(jìn)入下一個(gè)段落。,通過掃讀尋找特定信息或特定詞組,Skimming to get general idea,When did the writer arrive at the Grand Canyon area? 2.
