3、, MP3 Teaching proceduresStep 1 Lead-in and warming up (5mins) Show some photoes of film stars from Hollywood, such as the hero and heroines from Transformer 變形金剛變形金剛, Harry Potter, Spiderman, and Superman. Say “She/He is a famous star in Hollywood.”, and thus help the ss catch the meaning of “stars

4、” in the heading, then guess its meaning right. Design purpose: This step can arouse the ss interest in learning this new lesson, and help the ss to finish A1. Step 2 Reading (22mins)(1)Ask the ss to skim the whole text, and guide them to give a heading for the article. Get some of them to report th

5、eir answers to the class.(2)Teach the new words and expressions. Show the new words on PPT together with relative pictures, such as photoes of jungle and some attractions. Make gesture or facial expressions for some words, such as violently, and delightedly. Then play the MP3 voice record of these w

6、ords on PPT, and ask the ss to repeat them for twice. and then complete A3. The group which has given the most right answers will be awarded a gold medal in the table. (3)Askthe ss to scan the article(4) Listen the read. Ask the ss to read after the MP3 voice record of the article, and repeat it. Ge

Design purpose: It makes the learning of new words interesting, corrects their pronunciation, and also improve the ss reading skills, such as skimming and

The group which has given the most right answers will be awarded a gold medal in the table. Design purpose: It amis to help the ss to be more familiar with the new language point
