This part is related to film review, famous directors and film appreciation.It aims to make the students enjoy the beauty of the films and gain some
2、thing to enrich their life through their learned phrases and sentences.This part can really exercise students speaking ,reading , thinking and acting abilities.Teaching objectivesEnable the students to talk about their favorite films .The students will be able to use the exact words or sentences to
3、analyze the detailed information of each paragraph.The students will apply the information they have learned to act out what they have learned .三、Teaching important and difficult pointsTeaching importance:1. Enlarge the vocabulary and help to understand the structure of the texts.2. Analyze the plot
4、 and the characters in the film.Teaching difficulties:Train their reading and acting skills.2. How to get each student involved in thinking,discussing and speaking activities.四、Analysis of the students Our students are easily motivated by learning this part and they have a certain language basis rel
5、ated to all kinds of films. However, they are lack of certain vocabulary to express themselves clearly and correctly especially in our rural areas. So the teacher should design more proper class activities to inspire their interests in learning English and the study confidence. Teaching and learning

7、name of the movie.Show some posters made by themselves and let them talk about their favorite films. Step 2 Lead in1. Play a trailer of the movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, ask the students to write down some information and answer following questions to make the students be familiar with the m
8、ovie.(1)What type of the film is it?(2)What is your first impression of the film?2. Invite some students to share their opinions.3.Have a brief introduction of the main characters in the film.Step 3 SkimmingStudents read the text quickly , and then decide which is the best summary of the film.1. It
9、takes place on Peking rooftops and in the deserts of western China.2. It is a martial arts film that tells the story of a stolen sword, and the fight to get it back.3. It tells the story of two people who love each other.Step 4 ScanningIn this step, the students will read the passage carefully to ge
10、t the detailed information and summary the main idea of each paragraph. Two students will be invited to stick the answers to the blackboard.Fill in a chart to have a clear clue of the passage. The students will be divided into four groups to locate the detailed information in the passage. Get the st
11、udents to go through the related paragraph and find the correct information to fill in the blanks.Analyze the plot and the relationship between the Li Mubai and Yu Xiulian. Whats more,here is a question: Do you think they should get together? Invite some students to share their opinions.Describe the
12、 three main characters and ask them which character they like best.Step 5 Post reading-Show timeGuide the students use their rich imagination to change the fate of each character and try to imagine a different ending of the movie.Try to act out their own understandings of the film.
