《遠大前程》英文讀后感導語:《遠大前程》又譯《孤星血淚》,是英國作家查爾斯?狄更斯晚年寫成的長篇小說。故事背景為1812年耶誕節(jié)前夕至1840年冬天,主角孤兒皮普(Pip)以自傳式手法,表達從7歲開始的.三個人生階段。以下是的《遠大前程》英文,供各位參閱。Withsomanyfamousmasterpiecesonthebooklist,itisreallyaprettyhardjobtochooseonetoreadfirst.Aftermuchhesitationanddeeplythought,IfinallydecidedtoborrowGreatExpectationsfromthesmalllibrary.GreatExpectationsisaboutlove,family,andrejectionasPipandMissHavishamhavebothbeenrejectedincertainways.Pipisaboyaround13yearsold,easytofright,andgoesthroughhislifesufferinglotsofsadnessHeisinlovewithagirlnamedEstellaandwantshertofindhislove,butforhimbeingshyandnotshowinghimselftoher,itmakesitveryhardforhim.GreatExpectationswasthepenultimatenovelpletedbythemostpopularnovelistofVictorianEngland,CharlesDickens.BorninKent,England,in1812toafamilyofmodestmeansbutgreatpretensions,Dickens'searlylifewasmarkedbybothhumiliationandambition.Dickensneverforgottheperiodoffinancialcrisisduringhischildhood,whenfollowinghisfather'sbankruptcy,hewastakenoutofschoolandforcedtoworkinashoepolishwarehouse.Pipmeetsanescapedconvict,Magwitch,andgiveshimfood,inanencounterthatistohauntboththeirlives.WhenPipreceivesrichesfromamysteriousbenefactorhesnobbishlyabandonshisfriendsforLondonsocietyandhis“greatexpectations”.IsetupmymindtoselectitforthereasonthatIhavereadabriefintroductionofthismasterpieceinmyhighschoolEnglishtextbookbefore.Inaddition,aTaleofTwoCitieswhichisalsowrittenbyCharlesDickens,theoutstandingandspecialEnglishwriter,leftmeawonderfulanddeepimpression,whenIfinishedreadingthemarvelousstory.Ofcourse,GreatExpectationsdidn'tletmedown,either.What'smore,thewholestructureofthenoveliswellandelaboratelydesigned.Theplotisextremelyattractiveandfullofunexpectedtwists.Quiteafewcharactershaveadistinguishablepersonality.Moreover,thosewordsandsentencesaresobeautifulandmeaningfulthatIeventookthemdowncarefullyinmynotebook.Byreadingthemnolessthanthreetimes,Ihavelearnednotonlysomenewphrasesandsentences,butalsoaphilosophyoflife.Amongthecharacters,whichimpressedmemostarenotPipandEstellawhoshouldberegardedastheleadingroles,butJoeandMagwitch.IfeelawfullysorrythatIwasnotbraveenoughtoreadtheoriginaleditionthatisasthickasabrick.Otherwise,ImayappreciateJoeandMagwitchmore.Yes,theyarenotthemaincharactersinthenovel.However,whattheysaidandwhattheydiddeeplytouchedmeIt'sinteresting,isn'tit?Theyarequitetheoppositeguys.Oneisatotallygoodmanwithouttheleastbitofwickednesswhiletheotherisaprisonerwhoisbelievedtohavemittedeveryevil.IbelievethateveryonewhoreadsthebookistolikeJoe.Whenhetalkedabouthisheavydrinkingfatherwhohithimalot,hesaidhehadalotoflove.Facedwithhisrudewife,hewouldratherseemabitweakorfoolishthanstanduptoherandfightforhimself.KnowingpeacockishPipwasashamedofhisuneducatedmanners,heleftsadlyandquietly.Theworldrushesonoverthestringsofthelingeringheartmakingthemusicofsadness.ButwhenhewasinformedofPip'sillness,heimmediatelycametotakegoodcareofPip.Heisalwayscontributingeverythingandrequiringnothing.SuchamanisJoe,kind,tolerantandselfless."Nothingissomildandgentleascourage,nothingsocruelandpitilessascowardice,"saysawiseauthor.However,whydoIappreciateMagwitch,thebadguy?Youmaywonder.Indeed,Magwitchdidalotofevilthingswhenhewasyoung.Buthowcanyoubeunmovedwhenyougettoknowthattheoldmankepthimselfgoingjustbythinkingoftheboywhooncedidhimasmallfavor?HelosthisonlydaughterandPiphadnoparents,soheconsideredhimselfastheboy'ssecondfather,makinguphismindtohelphisdearboybecameagentleman.HedideverykindofjobandledahardlifeinAustralia.AtlasthemadeabigfortuneandpromisedhimselfthatallthemoneywouldgotoPip.HecouldhaveledabetterlifeinAustralia,butIhechosetogobacktoLondon.withthesimpleintentionofseeingPip,hewentbackattheriskofbeinghanged!“whateverthefaulthehadfromthestart,remember,reader,hehadagoodheart.”Joeusedthesewordstodescribehisfather.ButIthinkthesewordscanbetterdescribeMagwitch.Helivedwiththefearofdeathallhislife.Whoshutsloveout,inturnshallbeshutoutfromlove.However,thankfully,becausePipfinallyrealizedhisgoodheart,hisendingwaspeaceful.DickenshasPipasthewriterandfirstpersonnarratorofthisaountofhislife'sexperiences,andtheentirestoryisunderstoodtohavebeenwrittenasaretrospective,ratherthanasapresenttensenarrativeoradiaryorjournal.Still,thoughPip"knows"howalltheeventsinthestorywillturnout,heusesonlyverysubtleforeshadowingsothatwelearnofeventsonlywhenthePipinthestorydoes.Pipdoes,however,usetheperspectiveofthebitterlessonshe'slearnedtomentacidlyonvariousactionsandattitudesinhisearlierlife.Iknowhowtofullyunderstandthisnovel,twiceisfarfromenough.Pip,Estella,MissHavisham,BiddyevenMrWemmick,everysinglecharacterhasastorythatiswellworthmyattention.IlovethisnovelsomuchthatIamdeterminedtoreadtheoriginaleditiononeday.Believeme.Butbeforethatdayes,IwillseethemovieGreatExpectationsfirst.Searchforknowledge,readmore,sitonyourfrontporchandadmiretheviewwithoutpayingattentiontoyourneeds."GreatExpectations"isthelateworksofDickens,butalsohismostmaturework.Thetitleisironic,ittellsanorphan,Pipwantstobetheidealupperstoryofdisillusionment,heeventuallydidnotasagentleman,ofcourse,andthereisnoso-called
