一.說教材(Te*tbook)

在人教版高一英語的下冊的Unit19，曾經(jīng)談論過一些關于農(nóng)業(yè)的話題，同學對中國早期的出名的農(nóng)業(yè)家賈思勰有了肯定的了解。人教版高三英語的Unit4這個單元以GreenWorld為話題，讓同學初步了解一些植物學方面的內(nèi)容，如植物的分類、栽培以及植物學的進展的歷程等等;語言技能和許多的語言點幾乎都是圍繞介紹綠色世界這一中心話題而開展的。要求同學能夠運用所學的內(nèi)容對相關話題進行流利的表述。

在READING部分，介紹了植物學正式成為一門科學的歷史形成過程。重點介紹了兩個為植物學進展做出過卓越貢獻的重要人物林厄尼斯與班克斯。他們以獨特的歸類的方式對植物進行分類，從而制服了整個世界。

在POST-READING部分，針對READING部分的相關內(nèi)容設計了5個練習。第1個練習以選擇填空的形式考查同學對課文環(huán)節(jié)內(nèi)容的了解。第2-5小題以問句的形式進一步考查同學對課文重點內(nèi)容的了解。

二.說教學目標(Teachinggoals)

1.讓同學了解植物這一學科的形成，并了解一個學科的形成需要經(jīng)過漫長的時間及幾代的科學家的努力和奮斗。

2.使同學了解科學家為科學事業(yè)所作的努力及其奮斗精神。

3.培育同學查找環(huán)節(jié)，分析主題從而提高同學的閱讀理解技能。

4.學習一些有用的詞匯和短語。

5.加深對閱讀技巧(Scanningandskimmingmethod)的理解及運用。

在本單元的Reading當中,文章比較長,有許多有的新單詞,個別的句子特別難理解,同學在閱讀當中肯定會遇到肯定的困難。因此，我采納了一些敏捷的有用的教學方法(如Scanningandskimmingmethod和Task-basedmethod)，援助同學理解文章的內(nèi)容，努力提高閱讀課的教學效果。詳細做法如下：

解讀標題TheBirthofaScience.這能援助同學快速了解文章的內(nèi)容。對提高閱讀效果有很大的援助。老師可向同學設問：WhatisBotany?讓同學思索并回答。

通讀課文，了解環(huán)節(jié)。老師可向同學提出問題：Howmanypeoplearementionedinthepassage?讓同學快速閱讀并查找此問題的答案。

深層了解,歸納課文大意。Whatisthemainideaofthepassage?讓同學歸納文章的大意，從而援助同學理解整篇文章的內(nèi)容。

升華主題。Whatcanwelearnfromthepassage?讓同學能聯(lián)系實際，學有所獲。

讓同學進行分組(Pairwork/Groupwork)的爭論(Discussion)，加深同學對課文的理解，進一步調(diào)動同學學習的積極性。
