8、n the sitting room. 父親不許在客廳抽煙。,比較allow 和 permit的用法: allow為日常用語,語氣比permit弱,allow含有“聽從,默許,不加阻止”之意。permit意為“允許”,語氣較強,強調(diào)“正式認可,批準”的意思。常用permit sb. to do sth.結(jié)構(gòu)。其名詞形式為permission。例如: Will you allow me to sit here? 我可以坐在這兒嗎? Women were not permitted to watch the games at that time. 那時婦女不允許觀看比賽。 Without my p
