現(xiàn)在分詞表示此時(shí)此刻正在進(jìn)行的行為動作,而過去分詞卻表示一個(gè)已經(jīng)完成或結(jié)束了的動作:aburningmatch(一根正在燃燒的火柴);aburntmatch(一根燒過的火柴)adevelopingcountry(一個(gè)發(fā)展中國家);adevelopedcountry(一個(gè)發(fā)達(dá)國家)boilingwater(正在沸騰的水);coolboiledwater(涼開水)(2)語態(tài)上的區(qū)別現(xiàn)在分詞表示主動,而及物動詞的過去分詞則表示被動,說明動作不是句子的主語執(zhí)行的。1)Hangingthepictureonthewall,headmireditforawhile.

他把那張畫掛在墻上,欣賞了一會兒。

2)Hungonthewall,thepicturelooksmorebeautiful.那張畫掛在墻上看上去更美。

前句中,“掛(hanging)”的動作是句子主語(he)執(zhí)行的;后句中,“掛(hung)”的動作不是由句子主語(thepicture)執(zhí)行的,而是由某種外來力量執(zhí)行的(如人)。3)Seenfromthetopofthemountain,thelakelookslikeamirror.從山頂上看,那個(gè)湖看上去像一面鏡子。4)Seeingfromthetopofthemountain,Jillfoundthelakemorebeautiful.從山頂上看,吉爾覺得這湖更加美麗。

前句中,“看(seen)”的動作不是由句子主語(thelake)執(zhí)行的,而是由人看到的。后句中,“看(seeing)”的動作是句子主語(Jill)做的。2.分詞的作用

分詞在句子中可用作定語、表語、補(bǔ)語、狀語等。(1)作定語

作定語用的分詞如果是單詞,一般放在名詞的前面;過去分詞短語用作定語時(shí),一般放在名詞的后面,它的功能相當(dāng)于定語從句,如:15分詞anamusingexperience(一段令人發(fā)笑的經(jīng)歷);aploughedfield(一片耕過的田地)ahotelbuiltbeforethewar(在戰(zhàn)前建造的飯店);thehousesdamagedintheearthquake(地震中毀壞的房子)(2)作表語Thestoryisveryinteresting.這個(gè)故事很是有趣。He’sgone.他走了。(3)作補(bǔ)語

分詞在復(fù)合賓語中可作賓語補(bǔ)語,可帶復(fù)合賓語的動詞有see,watch,hear,feel,find,get,catch,keep,notice,have等。此外,分詞還可作主語補(bǔ)語。We’llkeepyouinformedofwhathappens.我們將隨時(shí)通知你所發(fā)生的一切。
