2、ion System to a safe condition in the event of an emergency shutdown.CONDITIONSAn emergency shutdown of the Epoxidation Catalyst Preparation System should occur in the event of a gasket failure, line rupture, fire/explosion, or a utilities failure. In an emergency shutdown condition, only the contro

3、l valves will be closed using the valves controller unless a control valve is suspected of leaking through. In those special cases, a block valve will have to be manually closed to eliminate the leakage.NOTE: This is for Training only, and is not intended to be used as a step by step procedure.PO/MT

4、BEGUIDELINE Close control valve FV-28681 on ethylene glycol into Catalyst Preparation Reactor. Notify operator to shut down the ethylene glycol pump. Close control valve KV-28619 on S4 steam to Catalyst Preparation Reactor. Line up Catalyst Solution to Catalyst Recovery Drum if Catalyst Preparation

5、Reactor has to be de-inventoried due to emergency. Open control valve HV-28687 on Catalyst solution out of Catalyst Preparation Reactor using HS-28687. Close block valve on outlet of 01S0203 Catalyst Solution Filter. Ensure block valves on outlets of 01E0202 and 01E0204 that allow recycle back to th

6、e inlet of 01S0203 are closed. Ensure globe valve on EG/MO catalyst complex line, located on the discharge of 01P0274, to Catalyst Recovery Drum is open. Ensure block valve on EG/MO catalyst by-passing 01D0323 to the OSBL Catalyst Residue tank is closed. Ensure block valve ethylene glycol make-up li

7、ne is closed. Open block valve on the discharge of 01P0259 that will allow deinventory of 01R0286 to the Moly Blowdown system to 01D0231 Catalyst Solution Blowdown pot. Start Catalyst Solution Transfer Pump 01P0259. Monitor level in 01D0231 Catalyst Solution Blowdown pot. Operate 01P0274 Catalyst Solution Blowdown pump as required to control level. Deinventory contents of Catalyst Preparation Reactor if emergency requires. Shutdown Catalyst Solution Transfer Pump 01P0259 and 01P0274 Catalyst Solution Blowdown pump after de-inventory of reactor. Isolate leak. D
