1、必修1 Unit5 Nelson Mandelaa modern hero,說課課件,第三課時 Learning about Language,說課內容,說教材,說教法,說學法,說教學過程,板書設計,教學反思,說教材,教學內容,課題,新課標,教學目標,教學的重點、難點,一. 教材內容分析及課時劃分,人教版高中英語課程標準必修1有五個單元,每個單元圍繞一個主要話題開展聽、說、讀、寫活動,本單元的話題是“The qualities of a great person and the lives of some great people”,并以Nelson Mandela 的故事貫穿整個單元。故事的
2、主題內容分成三個部分,由窮苦的黑人工人Elias敘述他眼中的Mandela。,1教材內容分析,第一部分是ReadingI Elias 向我們介紹1952-1963年期間的Mandela。第二部分是listening 中Elias 講述他為了爭取與白人有平等的權利而參加了Mandela的非洲國民大會青年聯(lián)盟。第三部分是ReadingII Elias說到他在羅本島監(jiān)獄得到了Mandela的幫助,非國大掌權后, Elias又回到羅本島監(jiān)獄擔任導游。這樣通過Elias的視角對Mandela的敘述,盡可能地剔除作者的主觀看法,留給學生更多的思考空間,啟發(fā)學生自己去思考,主動地表述對自己心目中英雄人物的看
3、法。為了讓學生完成寫作任務,教科書又提供了Mandela的生平履歷表,讓學生對Mandela有了一個更完整的認識。,“熱身”(Warming up)部分要求小組討論偉人應具有的品質,并通過一組問題讓學生了解彼此的特點與看法。,“讀前”(Pre-reading)部分提供了一些重要的歷史人物,要求學生讀懂每個人的基本情況,并判斷他們中誰能稱得上是偉大的人。,“語言學習”(Learning about language)部分突出了詞匯和語法的學習與訓練。本單元的語法是when,where,why,介詞+which,介詞+whom引導的定語從句。,“語言運用”(Using Language)部分中包括
4、了聽讀寫三個部分的內容,是本單元主要閱讀篇章故事的延續(xù)。學生可從中了解南非黑人當時的生活狀況以及他們不平等的社會地位,發(fā)現(xiàn)Mandela的偉大之處。該部分提出的一些問題有利于培養(yǎng)學生獨立思考的能力和人文精神。其中“寫作”(writing)部分是訓練學生選取和組織材料,寫出具有說服力的書信。練習冊的寫作要求學生學寫有關偉人或名人的生平。,“學習建議”(Learning Tip)指導學生收集,選擇和分析有關名人的材料,了解人們對這些名人的評論,以學會正確地評價人物。,2.課時分配,二. 課題,高中英語新課程標準必修1Unit5 Nelson Mandela- a modern hero 第三課時

The attributive clause (II) 由where, when, why, 介詞+ which, 介詞+ whom引導的定語從句。,三. 本課時的新課標理念,本課時我在真實的情景中讓學生體會語言的使用,運用引導法,歸納法 “任務型”活動和多媒體輔助教學等各種方法組織指導學生進行語言語法知識的學習,在學習過程中經過觀察,探究,理解,形成概念,初步運用,鞏固等環(huán)節(jié),強調發(fā)揮學生的自主意識,以達到新課標對學生能力的要求。,新課標強調學生在參與,實踐,討論,探究和合作中學會用英語來表達,交流,發(fā)展綜合語言
6、運用能力.,四. 教學目標設計,1. 知識與技能: 鞏固所學詞匯,能有條理地表達個人的見解和想法,從而提高說的技能。 充分利用多媒體技術,培養(yǎng)學生掌握語言語法知識、運用語言語法知識的能力。 2. 過程與方法: 培養(yǎng)學生構建知識框架,形成完整的系統(tǒng)知識的能力,通過自主學習、協(xié)作學習來獲取信息和處理信息的能力。 培養(yǎng)學生的質疑意識,提高學生分析問題和解決問題的能力。 3. 情感態(tài)度與文化意識 : 誘導學生積極參與,充分調動他們學習的興趣,在師生互動的活動中,加強教師的親和力,增進彼此的了解與溝通,充分發(fā)揮情感教學的優(yōu)勢.在共同完成一些游戲,取長補短等任務的過程中,加強團體協(xié)作意識,五. 教學重點、
7、難點,教學重點: ReadingI中的生詞,短語 由where, when, why, 介詞+ which, 介詞+ whom引導的定語從句。 教學難點: 語法操練與語言交際活動的有機結合,六. 教學方法,演示法: 把制作的課件、圖片等顯示給學生看,便于學生對微觀知識的把握,并從舊知識中獲得啟迪,從而達到解決問題的目的。 任務驅動教學法: 將所要學習的新知識隱含在一個或幾個問題之中,學生通過對所提的任務進行分析、討論,并在老師的指導和幫助下找出解決問題的方法,最后通過任務的完成而實現(xiàn)對所學知識的意義建構。,七. 學習方法,高中英語新課程標準明確指出:“高中英語課程要有利于學生優(yōu)化英語學習方法,
8、使他們通過觀察、體驗、探究等積極主動的學習方法,充分發(fā)揮自己的學習潛能,形成有效的學習策略,提高自主學習的能力?!?根據高中英語新課程標準要求,結合學生的實際,本課時我在教語法項目時,把每個教學環(huán)節(jié)所設計的問題和任務區(qū)分出高低不同的層次,由淺入深,循序漸進,使每個教學環(huán)節(jié)盡量符合多數學生的認知水平,力爭全班絕大多數同學都能積極參與課堂活動。通過“任務型”活動培養(yǎng)學生 用觀察,體驗,探究的方法去掌握和運用語言、語法知識的能力。,八. 教學過程設計,Step1 Revision Ask some students to retell “Elias Story”. 2.Check the homew
9、ork, giving some explanation if necessary.,Step2 Discovering useful words and expressions,Go over the reading passage again and give students some time to finish exercises 1,2 on page 35-36. Five minutes later, check in pairs and then check with the whole class. 1. Look at the reading passage again
10、to find words that mean the same.,2. Complete the passage with some of the words above. When Elias lost his job and was out of work, his wife was very unhappy. She knew this meant he was in trouble when all she wanted was a peaceful life with enough money every month. She tried to advise him not to
11、fight the government as she thought it was better to accept that in South Africa black people were not as important as white people. But he was willing to continue the fight and help Nelson Mandela win equal rights for black people. For a period of time she felt helpless and lost heart, but Elias en
12、couraged her with stories of how good life would be when white and black people worked and played together.,通過完成以上兩個練習, 使學生進一步鞏固和熟練運用ReadingI中的words and expressions.,Step 3 The relative adverbs study,1.這里我根據課文內容設計幾個問題,引出關系副詞when,where,why引導的定語從句。用問題導出所要學的知識.,1) T: When did Elias first meet Mandela?

T: We can also get the answer “Elias first met Mandela when he was 12 years old.” Ill change these two sentences into one sentence “Elias first met Mandela in 1952 (when he was 12 years old).”,2) T: How far was Elias school? S: Elias school was 3 kilometres away.
14、T: How long did Elias study in the school? S: He studied in the school for 2 years. T: Ill change these 2 sentences into 1 sentence “The school (where Elias studied for two years) was 3 kilometres away.,3)T: Why was Elias happy to help Nelson Mandela? S: Because he knew it was to realize his dream o
15、f making black and white people equal. T: So we can say “The reason (why Elias was happy to help Nelson Mandela) was that he knew it was to realize his dream of making black and white people equal.”,通過這三個場景的設計和操練, 學生對關系副詞when, where, why 引導的定語從句有了一個初步的概念和了解.,2. 讓學生觀察和研究和討論這三個交際場景, 分析出when, where, wh
16、y這三個詞在定語從句中的成分及不同意思. 教師進行必要的提醒,點撥和解釋. Suggested answer: “when” means “at that time”, “where” means “at that place”, “why” is used after the word “reason”. They are all used as the adverb in a sentence.,3. 讓學生找出Reading1中的定語從句, 并特別注意含有這三個關系副詞的定語從句以及關系副詞在這些句子中的具體的使用. The time when I first met Nelson Ma
