1、Module 4 Carnival = 1 * ROMAN I. 教學(xué)內(nèi)容分析本模塊的主題是狂歡節(jié)。以西方的幾種主要傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日作為導(dǎo)入,接著通過(guò)各種活動(dòng)詳細(xì)介紹了狂歡節(jié)的歷史、發(fā)展、種類(lèi)及人們的活動(dòng)、飲食、服飾和習(xí)俗。其中有關(guān)食物和節(jié)日的詞匯,和表達(dá)喜好和厭惡的句型又可以引申到中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日和習(xí)俗,有益于培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的跨文化意識(shí)。本模塊從五幅西方節(jié)日?qǐng)D片的探討開(kāi)始,導(dǎo)入本模塊的話題Carnival。Introduction 部分設(shè)計(jì)以西方的五種主要傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日(Carnival, Holi, Halloween, Christmas, Thanksgiving Day)作為導(dǎo)入,讓學(xué)生通過(guò)圖片做配對(duì)練習(xí)了
2、解西方的節(jié)日習(xí)俗,激發(fā)學(xué)生對(duì)西方節(jié)日的好奇心,達(dá)到導(dǎo)入整個(gè)模塊的效果。Reading and Vocabulary介紹有關(guān)狂歡節(jié)的一些知識(shí),主要介紹了狂歡節(jié)的面具。課文前后的四個(gè)相關(guān)練習(xí)幫助同學(xué)們學(xué)習(xí)和了解了相關(guān)詞匯和文章主旨。Grammar部分主要是通過(guò)練習(xí)復(fù)習(xí)被動(dòng)語(yǔ)態(tài)在各種時(shí)態(tài)中的運(yùn)用的語(yǔ)法項(xiàng)目。Vocabulary and Listening分為詞匯部分和聽(tīng)力兩大部分。詞匯部分學(xué)習(xí)和鞏固一些關(guān)于食物的單詞;聽(tīng)力部分是關(guān)于西方節(jié)日的,對(duì)于同學(xué)們來(lái)說(shuō),聽(tīng)力材料偏生疏,因此聽(tīng)力要做一定的處理。Learning to learn 是關(guān)于通過(guò)聽(tīng)聽(tīng)力提高語(yǔ)音面貌的英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)方法,對(duì)于提高學(xué)習(xí)策略水平有
3、很大的幫助。Everyday English通過(guò)學(xué)習(xí)復(fù)習(xí)Vocabulary and Listening中的句子學(xué)會(huì)一些非常有用的日常生活用語(yǔ):give up, go wild about, more or less, high spot, funnily enough, in your blood, wash down 和 walk off a meal。Function介紹表達(dá)“喜歡、不喜歡和偏愛(ài)”的功能用語(yǔ)。Reading and Writing集說(shuō)話和寫(xiě)作于一體,培養(yǎng)的是學(xué)生語(yǔ)言綜合運(yùn)用的能力。首先是閱讀一篇講述親歷Notting Hill carnival的Email。其次探究描寫(xiě)氣
4、氛、音樂(lè)和食物的形容詞。最后仿寫(xiě)一篇Email介紹中國(guó)某個(gè)節(jié)日的氣氛、音樂(lè)和食物。Cultural Corner 通過(guò)閱讀The Meaning of Carnival的文章,了解狂歡節(jié)的意義和發(fā)展演變,并且要求同學(xué)們思考哪一個(gè)中國(guó)節(jié)日最像狂歡節(jié),進(jìn)行跨文化的思考。Task要求學(xué)生小組合作寫(xiě)一篇文章介紹一個(gè)中國(guó)節(jié)日。II學(xué)情分析高二學(xué)生已經(jīng)具備一定的詞匯量和語(yǔ)法知識(shí),在教學(xué)中要有意識(shí)地培養(yǎng)他們聽(tīng)、說(shuō)、讀、寫(xiě)綜合運(yùn)用語(yǔ)言知識(shí)的能力,尤其是閱讀能力。通過(guò)本單元的學(xué)習(xí),培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的世界觀,進(jìn)一步了解外國(guó)文化和風(fēng)俗習(xí)慣,才能達(dá)到英語(yǔ)教學(xué)的基本目的。III. 教學(xué)重點(diǎn)和難點(diǎn)1.
